Kindness and Love Brings a Smile
KALBAS Charitable Foundation was founded by mother and daughter, Veronica Lesmond and Samenthur Neptune-Blake, whose deep love for St. Lucia inspired them, as ex-pats, to give back to their island home. Known affectionately as the “mother-daughter duo” on the St. Lucian Morning Show, their journey began with a simple yet powerful vision to uplift their homeland. What started as a heartfelt desire has grown into a mission of hope, empowerment, and sustainable change, leaving a lasting impact on the communities they cherish.
Our Mission
At KALBAS Foundation, we offer a hand-up, not just a handout. Our mission is to bring sustainable solutions to St. Lucia through kindness and love, addressing food insecurity, health equity, and educational needs. From restocking libraries to feeding the hungry, we focus on lasting change. By empowering local volunteers, we foster a spirit of true community, where each act of kindness strengthens our island and brings a lasting smile. Together, we’re building a culture where everyone can say, “MyKalbas – My Kindness and Love Brings a Smile!”

Kalbas Foundation stepped in when our library at Ti Rocher Combined (a rural school in St. Lucia) was destroyed by termites, leaving students without books for their education. KALBAS Foundation fully restocked our library, transforming it into a vibrant space just in time for our students to have access to books for school reports and reading pleasure. This initiative not only replenished our resources but also renewed the hope and love for learning within our students.

I wish to thank the KALBAS Foundation, on behalf of the Blanchard Combined School family for the donation of the school items.
